Flat Bar Screen

The Flat Bar Screen is a manually raked screen widely used in water treatment, environmental engineering, and related fields. It is primarily installed in the screen channels of water treatment plants or municipal wastewater treatment plants to intercept and remove suspended solids and floating debris of various shapes from flowing water. This helps protect downstream equipment and reduces the treatment load on subsequent processes.

The Flat Bar Screenis a manually raked screen widely used in water treatment, environmental engineering, and related fields. It is primarily installed in the screen channels of water treatment plants or municipal wastewater treatment plants to intercept and remove suspended solids and floating debris of various shapes from flowing water. This helps protect downstream equipment and reduces the treatment load on subsequent processes.

The Flat Bar Screen consists of a steel frame, screen bars (or filter mesh), and guide rails, forming a screening surface. When wastewater flows through, debris larger than the screen openings is retained. The accumulated screenings are periodically removed manually.

Advantage

Simple Structure, Easy Installation: The combination of steel frame, screen bars/filter mesh, and guide rails, with modular design, simplifies the installation process, reducing construction difficulty and time.
Low Investment Cost: Compared to complex automated screens, this manual cleaning device is more economical, suitable for scenarios with limited budgets that require basic screening functions.
Strong Parallel Adaptability: Multiple units can be flexibly installed in parallel according to channel width, adapting to channels ranging from 800mm to 2000mm, with high scalability.
Convenient Maintenance: Manual cleaning mode allows debris to be cleared directly by hand after interception, eliminating the need for complex electrical or hydraulic system maintenance, resulting in low operational costs.

Application Scenarios

Coarse/Fine Screen Channels in Waterworks

Pretreatment Stages in Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plants

Other Municipal/Industrial Water Treatment Scenarios with a small amount of sediment

Installation Method

Foundation Preparation: Based on the channel width (B) and equipment dimensions (B1, B2, B3), reserve installation space at the bottom/side walls of the channel to ensure the The Flat Bar Screen fits snugly against the channel.
Guide Rail Installation: Install the corresponding guide rails (C20/T1 series) according to the model, ensuring they are level and secure to provide support for the screen’s sliding motion.
Equipment Positioning: Place the The Flat Bar Screen into the channel along the guide rails. Adjust the installation angle (α, 60°-90° optional) to ensure smooth water flow direction and that the screen surface is perpendicular to or at the designed inclination relative to the flow.
Fixing and Adjustment: Secure the equipment frame with expansion bolts or embedded parts. Check the flatness of the screen bars/filter mesh. Test the manual sliding for smoothness. Confirm that the installation dimensions (H, B3) meet on-site requirements.

Friendly Reminder: Before installation, please confirm channel dimensions and the characteristics of waterborne debris. If customization of gap, height, angle, etc., is required, please contact the technical team with detailed working conditions, and we will provide the optimal solution.
